thanksgiving

I never jumped on the thankful for something every day this month band wagon. So I've got some catching up to do. Please bare with me. I would like to start by saying how thankful I am for my church and the leaders of the church. For the guidence and direction it gives me in my every day life and in my family. I am so thankful for my amazing parents that have always been there for me and helped me through thick and thin and now that I'm an adult with my own family they are my friends and councelors! Love you mom and dad! And speaking of parents I'm so thankful for my in laws! They are always there for me and my family and have raised one amazing man for me! I'm so thankful for my brothers and sisters and each in law! I have an individual relationship with each of them and I couldn't have picked better siblings myself. Love them All so much! Next I am thankful for each of our loving grandparents who are always doing everything they can for so many grand children! And last but definately not least my amazing little family! I have the most amazing loving supportive husband! He's my best friend and I'm so lucky I have him! He's also an amazing dad! I also have the amazing blessing to be a mom to one of the sweetest little angels! Sure parenting can sometimes be a challenge, but i would't trade it for anything! I love my little Collin more than anything and can't wait to add our little princess Paige in the next few weeks!

JULY 2012

(little background story: after Collin wakes up from any nap time or in the morning he likes to grab one of his stuffed animals to bring with him.)
in this picture Collin's grandpa Drake got him up from a nap and Collin couldn't leave his crib without all the stuffed animals he could fit in his arms.

on the 4th of July we went up to Willard Bay to have some fun in the sun!
Collin is enjoying a cookie!

Spencer had to work the night before and only had about four hours of sleep before we went up to the lake, but he was able to catch some zzzz's in the beach tent.

We all know how beautiful and awesome my car is! that being said it needs some work from time to time. so Spencer, Collin, and Grandpa were hard at work the other day.

This week has been Clinton City heritage days. I can't believe my little Collin is already big enough to ride some of the rides! he loved driving that boat and ringing that bell!

Collin was very brave as he fearlessly boarded the tilt a whirl with mom and dad trusting that we wouldn't possibly make him do anything too scary. little did he know.................

He was in for the ride of his life! (although the ride was pretty crazy for a one year old he never cried!)

we ended our carnival adventure with something a little more age appropriate and fun for Collin.
so far our summer has been full of fun and adventure and we look forward for much more to come!
a little side story.
last month the dr. told us that it looked like we might be having a boy. so we have been excitedly planning for a little brother for Collin. we had a name picked out and were all geared up for our little boy. Yesterday we had my dr. appointment and the doctor told us some news that totally threw us for a loop. we are actually having a GIRL! we were in quite the shock yesterday. we cannot agree on any girl names and we have absolutely no girl things. good thing we have a good five months to get planning! we are very excited for a crazy new adventure and I know that Collin will be the best big brother! we should be welcoming baby  girl drake around December 15

To celebrate Collin's birthday we went to the air show and it was so awesome! it started out a little rainy, but the weather cleared up in perfect timing! Collin and Asay rode into the show together!

Easter 2012

There is nothing better than SPRING!!! I love when the weather starts warming up and we can get outside!! This year for Easter we went out to brain rock just about 30 minutes east of Vernal.
this is Spencer and Collin getting ready to go on our ride to brain rock.

Caleb was the kid taxi! He's got Collin, Tyan, and Shanda. They had a blast! this is Collin first time four wheeling and he LOVED it!

This is Brain Rock! its hard to tell from this picture, but from a distance this rock looks like a giant brain!

Some of our friends that were camping with us.

This is my attempt at being an artist. one of the crevices on the rock

Spencer and Collin peeking at me

Hey mom!

After brain rock we went to some near by sand dunes. while all the boys were having fun seeing who could make it up the giant sand hills Collin and I had fun playing in the sand! he was pretty fascinated by the feel of the smooth sand!

Pretty sure that this year our camping area has not gotten any moisture! it was the dustiest it has ever been!

Spencer and I did some shooting!
look at the pro! lol

Collin and his cousin Drex. These two are only 4 months apart and I can tell they are going to be the best of buds!

Easter morning Collin is finding his eggs

Can I just say how thankful I am for this Easter season and not only having fun and spending time with family, but I am so thankful for my loving savior who willingly died for us and rose again on Easter morning so that we may live again! And I am so thankful for his atonement that makes it possible that we can return to him !

this'n that

A couple of weeks ago we went to Vernal for the weekend just for a little get away. Collin was playing on Amber's bed and he's just too cute to pass up taking a picture!

Spencer found a wig and decided to see what Collin might look like with hair. Collin obviously knew he was looking a little Joe Dirt ish so he's doing his little bashful face.

While in Vernal we went ice fishing at Matwarner. Collin had so many layers on he reminded me of the boy in a christmas story! ha ha

Mommy and Collin

My mom was the first to catch a fish!!!

Aunt Michelle and my mom feeding Collin

Spencer, my dad, uncle Lance, and Addison

Crysta and Jordan

I wanted to catch a fish so bad! it was pretty slow fishing that day. my mom was the first to catch a fish and we waited and waited and nobody else got one. just as we were getting ready to clean up and go I GOT A FISH!!! as you can see by this picture i was pretty dang excited!

Collin hates to sleep! He is seriously a nightmare to try to get to take a nap or go to bed so sometimes we go to extreme measures! I love this!

Amber is on drill team and this year they took first at state!! I'm so proud of her and her team! its a lot of hard work and it was pretty tough competition but, not to hard for them!! congrats U'ettes!

Collin is becoming very adventurous. we have a gate at the top of our big stairs, but there are two little steps that lead down into his bedroom. He can go up them really well, but going down is another story. he goes down head first. yesterday he was going down and decided to sit on the step half way down and got stuck! he was there for a couple of minutes trying to figure our how to get out of it and decided that crying so that mom would save him was his answer!

Everyday I can't get over how blessed I am to be a mother and how much I love my little guy!
