bring on 2012!

Wow how amazing was 2011 there were so many goods and some very hard bads. but, how would we ever learn and grow without those couple of hard times in there! 2011 started off with the last five months of being pregnant. The last five month of pregnancy I actually loved! I was really really sick the first four months, so when all that passed I really did love being pregnant! then on May 24 my little angel entered the world! every day since has been a learning experience sometimes hard, but always rewarding! We had my brother T.j. live with us for a couple of months and we've had my sister Crysta living with us since August, and I've loved having her! We had Spencer's sister Hollie get married to Dylan and Nate and Christy got sealed! busy busy busy! I feel like from may to the end of the year was about three months it went so fast! on the down side we lost our sweet Hurley pup and we still miss him every day! I cannot wait to see what will happen this year. with a baby boy its sure to be one adventure after another! hope I can stick to my resolutions and get things accomplished this year! good luck to everyone and HAPPY NEW YEAR!

In loving memory of our Hurley baby

On Monday we lost our Hurley pup to cancer. We got Hurley when he was five weeks old and we had just moved into our home. One of the reasons we bought a house was so we could get a dog. we didn't realize how amazing owning a dog could be and how one animal could change our lives! He taught us so much responsibility and how to show love. Hurley was such a happy, outgoing, fun loving, member of our family. I think losing Hurley has been just as hard as losing any other family member because he was our first baby. He really did touch everyones life he came in contact with! I love and miss him so much!

Its the most wonderful time of the year!

Its December!!! This is my favorite month of the year! The lights, the music, and all the Christmas cheer! Its so happy! I love to see family and friends and there are so many fun things to go do! This year we met my mom and dad and amber and T.j and veronica and Asay at the fashion place mall for some black Friday shopping! I was pretty crazy, but I had a blast! While we were there we saw Santa!! Collin first sat on his lap and just stared up at him for a few seconds then realized he was having a great time!

Also Thanksgiving Collin turned 6 months old! I feels like just yesterday I was holding him in my arms at the hospital! Time is going so fast now that we have him! 

Collin facts- he already has seven teeth. his top four have just come in in the last week and a half. poor guy, but he's been a trooper!

-He is army crawling around like crazy! If he sees something he wants he will get it!

-He can sit himself up on his own and can sit in the middle of a room with no support.

-just recently he is starting to try to pull himself up in a standing position.

-He loves everyone and will smile for pretty much anyone.

We are so blessed to have him in our lives!

About a week ago we went to Vernal for Drex's baby shower. this is Collin and his Cousin Drex. SO CUTE

Motherhood

I know its only been three and a half months since I had my little bundle of joy, but all you moms out there know that even in three months you go through more than you ever expected! I think what the biggest challenge is, is the amazing range of emotions that you go through. (It's hard, but totally worth it!) There is no way to really prepare yourself to become a mom except to prepare to be unprepared! Everyone always says that being a mom  just comes naturally. I don't know what anyone else feels, but I feel like you don't just automatically know exactly what to do for every situation that may arise with baby. I feel like being a mom is narrowed down to this... Moms are made with the patience to try try and try again until you figure out what it is that baby needs. Patience is the key. I have never felt so blessed, humbled, and loved than now with my little sweetheart! Spencer and I are closer than ever and feel more love than we ever knew we could with Collin in our lives! I don't know why I waited so long to have Collin, but I know I can't wait to add to our little family and add more love to our home!

Zions/ St George days 3 and 4

We went to visit the St George temple and the day before we went they had cleaned the outside of the temple and it was so bright white and beautiful! 

After the temple we just relaxed that day. 

On the last day we went back into Zions and did a couple of small hikes. Collin was yet again all strapped up for the ride! By day four he was getting a little tired!

So tuckered out so of coarse Spencer couldn't just let him relax so...........

Spencer got "the look" after rudely waking Collin up. Ha ha Collin already has quite the expressions!

It was so awesome to get away with just Spencer and Collin!!! I love my little family SO much!
